  93. This package contains Win Change, by JRE Enterprises. This document
  94. contains only a brief description of the package and its features, along
  95. with instructions for its installation.  After unzipping Win Change,
  96. view INSTALL.WRI for additional installation instructions.

  104. Win Change is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes all
  105. features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use it
  106. for up to 30 days, without charge.  If you like the program, and wish to
  107. continue its use after this evaluation period, you are required to pay
  108. for the program (see REGISTER.WRI for more details).  Any fee you may
  109. have paid to others (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this
  110. evaluation version was a fee for their copying and distribution
  111. services, rather than a payment for continued use of the program.

  184. Win Change requires Windows 3.1 and VBRUN300.DLL.  VBRUN300.DLL must be
  185. accessible via the path, normally it is found in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  186. directory.

  188. To install Win Change, run SETUP.EXE.
  189.  If you are using a windows shell program other than Program Manager or
  190.  Norton Desktop, you will have to manually create groups and group items
  191.  for Win Change.  We recommend creating a group Win Change.  In group Win
  192.  Change, create two items:

  194.     Command Line = path\WCHG.EXE
  195.     Working Directory = path
  196.  2. Description = Win Change Help
  197.     Command Line = path\WCHG.HLP

  200. NOTE:  path represents the disk and directory where Win Change was
  201.  installed.

  203. Warning:  Certain types of files contain internal checksums.  If these
  204. files are changed with Win Change, they may become invalid.  Norton
  205. Desktop for Windows QAG files and Program Manager GRP files are two
  206. examples of files that have internal checksums.  Win Change handles GRP
  207. files and will update their internal checksum.  QAG files should NOT be
  208. changed using Win Change as their internal checksum is not updated by
  209. Win Change.  Always create back out files when changing non-INI/GRP/PIF
  210. files.

  212. KNOWN PROBLEMS: GP fault occurs when run on a 286 machine.  Problem is
  213. due to a bug in VBRUN300.DLL.  You must use VBRUN300.DLL dated 5/12/93
